PIDZ becoming a B Corp
Why PIDZ wanted to move to impact
PIDZ wanted the help and advice of Move to Impact to become a B Corp. PIDZ has the mission to keep as much healthcare employees in the healthcare branche as possible. A lot of caretakers want to change jobs due to dissatisfaction with their employer. PIDZ created an online platform that makes it easier for a caretaker to work in the healthcare and be selfemployed.
PIDZ wants to proof to society they are in business for good. Therefor they decided to explore whether the B Corp certification fits their organizational strategy. However, they didn’t know how to start this journey. Luckily Move to Impact was there to help them.
The consultants of Move to Impact assessed the current sustainability level on social, ecological and financial level at PIDZ. With this starting point we were able to start the journey towards becoming a certified B Corp.

Involving & connecting the organization
The B Corp project team within PIDZ asked in the organization whether there were people willing to help in this journey. 5 working groups were created to answer the questions of the B Impact Assessment (BIA).
Of course not all knowledge was present within the organization, so the consultants of Move to Impact hosted Q&A sessions to answer questions about how to answer the BIA.
Useful tips and tricks were shared during the Q&A sessions. All 5 Impact Areas (Workers, Governance, Environment, Customers & Community) had their own Q&A session.
After the sessions the working groups were able to get back to deciding which answer fits best.
B Corp Prioritization workshop: Deciding the next step
To become a B Corp, PIDZ needs to obtain at least 80 points on the B Impact Assessment. A list of around 190 questions needed to be answered to see how many points are earned. This was done by all members of the working group, to involve everybody as soon as possible in the B Corp movement.
However, the B Impact Assessment only shows the total earned points per section. It is hard to see which actions are needed to get towards the minimum of 80 points.
The B Corp Prioritization tool developed by Move to Impact helps to prioritize. The consultants of Move to Impact hosted a B Corp Prioritization workshop to help PIDZ in deciding what should be the next step in becoming a B Corp. Move to Impact facilitated the prioritization process by challenging the effort an action would take compared to the amount of points it would bring.
The different working groups presented their short-term, mid-term and long-term plans to the other groups. Because of this session, PIDZ was able to present a roadmap with needed effort & planning to the management team to decide whether they are going to submit their answers to B Lab for the B Corp certification process.
