WHY THE PACKAGING DEPARTMENT WANTED TO MOVE TO IMPACT 

Colgate has three sustainability departments only for focusing on their products ‘Energy’, ‘Water’ and ‘Packaging’. The packaging department contacted us because they realized they wanted to take the next step in not only setting new KPIs for them self’s but saw their challenges of connecting strategically and communicating new targets and measurements and what does that mean for the supply chain. They realized that connecting sustainable targets and interconnect the results with other departments only would make them stronger but didn’t find a partner that understood the data and people part. So we helped them to:  

  • Combine older targets with the new KPIs,  
  • Connected their way of working to the new set of combined KPIs,  
  • Created a compelling story around it,  
  • Visualized it in an interactive way and overview, and  
  • Set out a strategic plan that connects the departments and supply chain interests with each other

In order to creating positive change and especially change that is lasting we took the challenges and opportunities from the first session and translated them in a strategic plan and visualization  

Creating common goals and connecting interests with each other can create lasting and positive change. We helped to identify, plan and connect these interests and put them in comparison to the new KPIs which need to be reached and ensemble an advise that helps the packaging department to connect not only with the other sustainability departments but also with the interests of the supply chain while following a sustainable path.
